Prayers of Sanity was formed in 2007 in Lagos (Portugal) by Carlos, André, Tião and Bruno to remind everyone that the 80's Thrash Metal was still alive and kicking. After releasing their début album “Religion Blindness”, in 2009, and after some shows out of Portugal (Ireland, USA and Germany), POS shared the stage with several important bands like: Destruction (GER), Municipal Waste (USA), Bonded by Blood (USA), Gama Bomb (IRL), Toxic Holocaust (USA) and Sworn Amogst (SWE).
POS had their first line-up change in 2010 - with the replacement of André by the new guitar player Paulo. They have played some big events like: Wacken Open Air, Slaughter by the Water, Vagos Open Air, Festival Ilha do Ermal, SWR, GDL. In 2012 they released their second album "Confrontations" and had a new line-up change, replacing Paulo with Guitar player Ângelo. POS did an Iberian tour, with the Brazilian Thrash Metal band Andralls, and are currently looking for more shows for the "Confrontations" promotion.

Californian quartet defining themselves as Sci-Fi black metal, maybe due to cosmic and interstellar topics, sounding like blackened death metal too ("The Maw"). It's a well-balanced melodic black metal album, with some fast-paced tracks and nice rhythmic transitions reminding me of Swiss band Celtic Frost (e.g. Terminal Odyssey). In other words not overly dominated by drum speed and also not sounding as extreme or as raw as some BM can be. sachavonkarl74

I think I discovered this one (well, Saor in general) in 2022. In addition to an embalming soundtrack go-to, it's definitely a cold-weather favorite. skyturtles

Iranian Depressive Black Metal. This is a one man band whose other project is Ekove Efrits. This is very dark but does not even remotely descend into any kind of dullness along the way. Truly fantastic music! Highly recommended!!! bmurator
