In September 2009, with the creative desire to fuse Melodic Death Metal with ‘melancholic’ vibes; Leon formed NonserviaM as a studio-project, initially assuming the guitar, bass, and vocal duties. Valent and Payden were then enlisted to take on the drumming and keyboard / synth positions respectively. In the beginning of 2010, Evan and Gary joined the band, taking on the lead and rhythm guitar positions. With the more potent line-up, the band proceeded on recording a 4-tracks “Ordinance Of Reason” EP. Evan left the band in the beginning of 2012 due to musical differences, and the band was subsequently joint by bassist Zeon, and lead guitarist Vinoth.
In July 2013:- “Alright folks, we're very much stoked that recording will commence in less than 24 hours! This will be the band's début full-length CD, and I'm confident that this is a 'great-leap' into a whole new level since the "Ordinance Of Reason" EP (2012). ‘A Spectral Ascension’ will grace the album as its title, with the songs featuring new and diverse elements that encapsulate the very vibe and atmosphere we've wanted the album to have!” – Leon
Music & Conceptualization - A Melodic Death Metal band getting all melancholic and depressed after several failed attempts on trying to mimic the intense-sounds of their favourite extreme Black Death Metal idols. George Carlin, with the aid of insightful writings by ‘Charles Darwin’, ‘Friedrich Nietzsche’, and ‘Epicurus’, was there at the depression to provide the band with some sound advice and lyrical wisdoms.

Jordan Vauvert

I love this particular niche of modern black metal. Crisp, biting production and clear, cutting riffs. Imperialist are among the best there is right now. Brett (Lascaille's Shroud / Soulmass)
