about

Frozen Dawn was born during the cold winter nights of 2005 from the twisted thoughts of its founder Grinder. After the recruitment of some good musicians, Frozen Dawn started to roll on 2006, performing its first gigs.

In 2007, the first band demo "Winds From the North" is released. Several line-up changes happened short after this release. In 2008, with a renewed line-up, Frozen Dawn started to play shows again, opening for bands like Necrophobic, Watain, Vreid and Belphegor. After that, Frozen Dawn recorded its first full length, entitled "The Old Prophecy of Winterland" during the winter of 2010.

The first band single, called "Cold Souls", is released as an advance of "The Old Prophecy of Winterland", that saw the light finally in 2011 spring. The album received the highest scores in the most relevant extreme Metal media all around the world, as well as an excellent response from the fans. Soon after the release of the album, Frozen Dawn started its first Spanish tour, hitting a lot of Spanish cities.

During the winter season of 2013, Frozen Dawn recorded its second full length, entitled "Those of the Cursed Light", a new and big step ahead in the band's career, and till the date the most powerful and strong work ever recorded by the band. Frozen Dawn released on January 2014 the single "Banished, the Everlasting Confinement" as an advance of the release of "Those of the Cursed Light", that see the light in March 2014 through Xtreem Music.

Frozen Dawn's music is basically inspired from a conceptual basis, “Winterland”. A land permanently immersed into a cold winter in which the forces of nature fight each other. A world where the supernatural meets the mystical, the worship of the moon meets the darkness and the elements. A world so cruel and merciless as winter.
